I'll still sometimes forget to free variables and make other memory errors, but I can handle it. Scheme- I took PLC last spring, so I'm still pretty good with scheme. However, I really doubt any of the projects will be written in it. Last summer I was on a project at Ventures that was basically the early development stages of the redesign of a client's product. We had to learn all about their current product, personally interacting with them on a weekly basis. After figuring out the desired functionality we spent time writing Use Case documents and a program architecture document. We then spent the rest of the summer designing a large scale database for the system. Many times the collaborations with the client involved negotiation of product requirements, as they didn't really have a clue about software. Many of the things they wanted to do would have taken a year or two in themselves to develop in addition to the actual core product.
