Final Project

1 General Description

Write a program that draws a scene of your own design. The following minimum requirements must be met:

• It must be a three-dimensional scene viewed with perspective projection.
• It must contain at least two light sources.
• It must contain at least five distinct objects, at least one of which must be polygonal in nature and at least one of which must be spherical in nature.
• At least one object must be texture mapped.
• At lease one advanced framebuffer technique must be included.

Additional features will, of course, add to the quality of the project. You might want to consider the following:

• Additional objects
• Animation
• Shadows
• User interaction of some sort

You may also implement computer graphics features that we have not discussed in class. This will require you to do some literature search and additional reading. The project's grade will be based on the technical merits of the program (including program structure and documentation) and on its presentation, not on the artistic beauty of the results.

2 Submission Procedure

Turn in electronic copies of all source code. If you produce a still image, print a color copy of the image. If you produce an interactive or animated program, provide an executable program as well as the source and let your instructor know which computer system it is designed for.

Projects will be demonstrated during final exam week.

3 Due Dates

• Monday, 17 Oct: Team membership and project proposal
• 14-15 Nov: Project presentations by arrangement.
• 14 Nov: Completed project. Source code, executable and other supporting material submitted.
