Introduction
This course is designed to give the participants a working knowledge of the principles associated with testing and controlling hot mix asphalt. It also includes evaluation of asphalt mixtures, aggregate properties, and the test
methods for each. Those who complete this course
should have the "know-how" to meet all specification requirements for testing and controlling hot asphalt
mixture for Quality Assurance Specifications.

Who Should Attend

Although the course will have wide application because
of the subject matter, it is designed for personnel who
must be certified for Quality Assurance Specification
projects. Accordingly the participants will be drawn from
hot mix asphalt firms, aggregate firms, testing laboratories,
consulting firms, state and local agencies.

Program Content

The program content is designed to provide personnel
with technical as well as practical knowledge through classroom sessions and "hands-on" laboratory experience, which will be necessary to meet the requirement of the Quality Assurance Program. The five day program will be divided into classroom sessions, laboratory sessions and testing.
