It’s a new school year, and that means it’s time for new issues of the
Career Services eNewsletters! These email newsletters are designed to help
keep you informed of all the great things we’ve been working on to help YOU
choose success. READ ON!!
What we have to offer you…
The Career Services office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to
5:00 pm, no appointment necessary. We assist students in resume review,
cover letter writing, interviews skills, networking and the job search. We
are located on the main level of the Hulman Memorial Union and are here to
serve you! Take advantage of the great services we offer and stop by and see
us soon.
2012-2013 Career Services Peer Advisors
Here to help their peers with career advice and mentoring
We have new Peer Advisors this year, and we hope you will stop in and get to
know them. They’ve been specifically trained to help provide their peers
with advice on how to use eRecruiting, build a resume, network with
companies, and land an internship or co-op.

Get your account and your resume ready to be seen
It’s the start of a new quarter, so that means it is time for you to update
yourself in eRecruiting! Everyone should be logging in as soon as possible
to upload a new resume and update their profile. Pay special attention to your
GPA, class status, job intent and date of graduation. Companies already have
jobs in the system that you can apply for, and we already have many info
sessions and events planned for you to attend! UPCOMING EVENTS! Mark Your calendars.
GE DAY – Wednesday September 12, 2012
Network with GE Reps!
GE will be on campus next Wednesday to network and recruit YOU. Join us on
the Academic Quad for food, fun and prizes. GE will be accepting resumes
from freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors! GE focuses on the following
academic majors: CHE, CPE, CS/SE, EE and ME.
Career Services Cookout on the Quad – Friday, September 14, 2012
Career Services is hosting the 2nd annual Cookout on the Quad.
Come join the Career Services Staff and Peer Advisors for a full barbeque
dinner, games, cornhole, lively music and free stuff! Attending students can
enter a drawing and win a cash prize! The cookout will be sponsored by
Garmin International, Arcelor Mittal and the Marines!
These companies and organizations will be on hand to network and hang-out
with Rose students. This year’s cookout is sure to be a success…don’t miss
out! |
