October 26, 2009 Stay Engaged In Your Job Hunt… The Fall Career Fair has come and
gone. Interview City was a success and many companies are still scheduling
interviews on campus throughout the fall. The next step for student job
seekers is key: following up with companies and taking advantage of
additional opportunities. If you have not been in touch with companies that
you met at the fair or have interviewed with, you need to reach out to them.
Also, if you haven’t been on eRecruiting to see what new jobs have been
posted, you need to schedule time to do that each week. Finally, make sure
you know about all of the additional networking opportunities that companies
are planning, many of them right here on campus! This eNewsletter will
showcase just a few of the many opportunities Career Services is planning to

Day Football Game Join reps from ArcelorMittal as
they tailgate this Saturday with Career Services before the Dad's Day
football game! Look for our tent before the game to grab some food and
network in a casual setting. We'll also have a raffle for prizes!
12:30pm – tailgate with ArcelorMittal 1:30pm - football game against Franklin ArcelorMittal will also be having
an Information Session at 11am in the Union Faculty Dining Room Saturday
morning for CHE, CPE, EE, ME students from the SW and SE sides of Chicago,
Gary, Burns Harbor, etc. Watch for more info! In additional to this fun event,
reps from ArcelorMittal will also be holding an information session for all
students on Thursday, October 29th at 6:30pm in Olin 159. 11/4 Allstate Day: Actuarial Careers

Graduate School Seminar Planned for Nov.
5th Do you have questions about
graduate school? How to apply? When to take the GRE? What to do to prepare
for admissions? Come to our seminar to get your questions answered! We will have a panel of faculty
members ready to provide insight and information into the graduate school
process. The discussion will be moderated by Dan Moore. Join us at 6pm on Thursday,
November 5th in the Union Kahn Rooms. Senior Seminar Challenge Winners! Last month we
