All seniors need to plan to attend one session of their major’s workshop times. If you cannot attend with your major, then plan to attend one of the general make-up sessions. Next week we begin doing resume referrals to companies who are recruiting on campus this fall and have openings. Be sure to update your resume and get it uploaded into eRecruiting as soon as possible, because whatever we have in the system is what will get sent out! We also have a LOT of positions closing in the next two weeks as we approach the career fair and companies start planning their on campus interviews. In order to put your best foot forward, upload your new resume this weekend and be ready to be seen!

ArcelorMittal Tailgate on Saturday

ArcelorMittal is coming to campus to help us cheer on the football team as they play Greenville on Saturday! The game starts at 2:00pm at Cook Stadium and ArcelorMittal will be tailgating prior to the event. Be sure to stop by and say hi.

USC’s Viterbi Graduate School of Engineering Preview Day is October 17^th

If you are a senior that visited with the University of Southern California at the Graduate School fair this week and want to visit their campus, be sure to check out their upcoming Preview Day on October 17^th. There is no cost for seniors to attend this event, but there are a limited number of travel grants available to qualified students interested in pursuing their MS degree at USC, so be in touch with them soon if you are interested in attending. Caterpillar Plans Plant Trip for October 25th

Caterpillar is currently coordinating a plant trip to their Decatur facility for Saturday, October 25^th. The trip will include tours of manufacturing and office areas, as well as product demonstrations and presentations about Caterpillar engineering careers. Transportation to this event is provided along with a free lunch. If you are interested in learning more about this trip or want to sign up to secure your spot on the bus to go, stop by Career Services. They are particularly interested in meeting MEs, EEs and CPEs, but all are welcome!

Career Fair Company List Gets New Search Options – Find Alumni FAST!

We take a lot of pride in keeping our online listing of the companies attending our career fairs up to date and easy to use. Our company listing now has two new search features. The first is that you can select an option that will narrow your search results down to only companies that have at least one Rose-Hulman graduate attending. If you select all majors along with the alumni option, you will be able to find every alum that is planning to attend the event. Of course, you can always search just within your major as well. You can also now sort the list to see which companies were added since the last time you looked. New companies will display at the top when this option is checked.
