Dear Mr. Dervish,
I am a sophomore mechanical Engineering major at Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. I plan to be living at home in Northern
California this summer and I believe I could be of assistance to you. It seems that
most busy engineers have a list of "back burner" projects which they just do not have
time to complete. I would be happy to take care of some of those projects for you
this summer!
The curriculum at Rose-Hulman is rigorous. It teaches problem-solving and
teamwork skills, and the value of hard work. I am skilled in AutoCAD v13 and learn
new software packages quickly. I can help you with your design and development or
production problems, but will accept any other assignment which needs attention.
And I can arrive equipped with my own laptop computer if it is needed to
successfully complete my work at Pivotal Systems.
I look forward to exploring potential summer employment with Pivotal Systems. I
will be in town during the week of March 1 and would be available for an interview.
