Academic Advising

Starting the week of freshman orientation, you’ll work closely with your academic advisor to make create a class schedule to meet your educational goals. At your initial meeting, your advisor will discuss class registration and other important academic issues. Be sure to bring your laptop to the advisor meetings because they will register for classes online. Look for more details and personalized information when you login to My Rose-Hulman.

Cars/Parking/Transportation

Unlike many larger schools, we allow you to bring a car as a freshman. Just register your car during New Student Orientation (it's free), and you’re good to go! But even if you don’t bring a car to campus, no worries! You'll be able to find someone who can give you a ride to the mall, grocery store, bowling alley, restaurant, movie theater or anywhere else you need to go. And if you can't find a ride, ask your Resident Assistant for assistance!

Getting Here and Back

The Indianapolis International Airport is just under an hour away, so you will need to have a ride from the airport to campus. If you find it impossible to arrange pick-up at Indianapolis, a representative from Rose-Hulman can pick you up for your initial arrival in the fall. After that, it will be your responsibility to arrange transportation though the shuttle service provided through the Student Affairs Office, with a friend, or limo service.

You may also ride a Greyhound bus to Terre Haute. If you need to be picked up at the bus station, please contact the Office of Student Affairs in advance so we may help you arrange a ride to campus.
