HANOVER, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team rebounded from losing the first set to defeat Hanover College 3-1 in the HCAC Semifinal Round on Saturday. 

With the victory, Rose-Hulman advances to the HCAC Final Round at Hanover College on Sunday at 1 p.m and will play Bluffton University for an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.  The Fightin' Engineers were one of five teams to share the league regular season title, including Hanover, Bluffton and Mt. St. Joseph and advance to the program's first conference tournament championship match.

After dropping the first set 25-8, the Engineers came back to win the next three sets, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19.

The Engineers were led by junior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis, Ind./Lutheran) with 14 kills and contributed 15 digs and four blocks.  Senior Karah Hickman (Hobart, Ind.) and sophomore Casey Levitt (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) eached added nine kills. 

Senior Leah Pelzel (Loveland, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) led the team with 22 assists and 17 digs.  She also recorded four service aces. 

Senior Morgan Williams (Fenton, Mich./Powers Catholic) chipped in with nine total blocks while sophomore Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) added 19 assists.

Rose-Hulman improved its school record win total and stands 23-8 on the season, while Hanover finished the year at 19-11.
