BOX SCORES: DEPAUW / EUREKA

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished a perfect 4-0 in the Engineer Volleyball Invitational with a five-set win over DePauw and a three-set win over Eureka on Sunday.

DePauw led two sets to one after earning a 28-26 win in the opener and a 25-20 victory in set three.  Rose-Hulman knotted the match twice with a 30-28 win in set two, followed by a 25-21 victory in set four.

DePauw gained a 14-12 advantage in the fourth set, before Rose-Hulman rallied with the final four points of the match to win the fifth and deciding set 16-14.

Senior Morgan Williams (Fenton, Mich./Powers Catholic) led Rose-Hulman with a career-high 19 kills and added three blocks.  Junior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis/Lutheran) contributed 16 kills and a career-high 29 digs.

For their efforts this weekend, Lewer and Williams were named to the six-person Rose-Hulman Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Senior Leah Pelzel (Loveland, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) paced the Engineers with 35 assists and had 22 digs.  Sophomore Casey Levitt (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) pitched in a double-double of 10 kills and 19 digs.

Senior Karah Hickman (Hobart) led the team with five total blocks, including two solo efforts.  Sophomore Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) recorded 18 digs, and sophomore Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) reached double figures with 16 assists.

Rose-Hulman then handled Eureka in straight sets in the second match of the day, winning 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.

Sophomor Catherine Fiutem (Harrison, Ohio/Oldenburg Academy) led the offense with 11 kills and a .625 hitting percentage against Eureka.  Williams added seven kills and three blocks, with freshman Briana Harvey (Clinton/South Vermillion) contributing six kills and three blocks.

Pelzel contributed 19 assists, 10 digs and six kills, with Dangel also adding six kills.  Boswell recorded 10 assists, and McGuire had a team-high 11 digs.

Rose-Hulman improved to 7-3 on the season and will square off with DePauw and Illinois Wesleyan at the DePauw University Invitational on Friday.
