Volleyball Falls in Four Sets at Bluffton

BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Bluffton University improved to 4-3 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball play with a 25-16, 10-25, 25-17, 25-15 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday.

Senior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis/Lutheran) recorded 20 kills to lead the Rose-Hulman offensive effort.

Junior Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) and freshman Sarah Jensen (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) led the team with 19 assists each.  Junior Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) had a team-high 13 digs.

Freshman Claire Raycraft (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) led the blocking effort with three block assists.

Rose-Hulman stands 16-8 overall and remains in third place in the HCAC standings at 5-2 in league play.  The Fightin' Engineers return to action at Defiance College on Sunday.
