BOX SCORES: OLIVET / HANOVER

jensen-set2GREENCASTLE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology stands 8-5 on the volleyball season after defeating Olivet in three sets and falling to Hanover in a non-conference match in four sets at DePauw on Saturday.

The Fightin' Engineers earned a 25-21, 26-24, 25-13 victory over Olivet to open play on Saturday.  Hanover defeated Rose-Hulman by a tight score of 25-27, 25-22, 26-24, 26-24 in the nightcap.

After the tournament, freshman Sarah Jensen (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) earned a spot on the DePauw all-Invitational Team.

Against Olivet, junior Casey Levitt (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) and senior Anna Lewer (Indianapolis/Lutheran) led the offensive attack with nine kills each.  Jensen had a match high 17 assists, and junior Kira Boswell (Ames, Iowa) had 16.  Levitt recorded four aces and a team-high 14 digs, with junior Kate Dangel (Upper Arlington, Ohio) contributing a team-high 15 digs.

Jensen recorded her second triple-double of the season against Hanover with 13 kills, 14 assists and 17 digs.  Lewer led five Engineers with double figure digs with 27, followed by Jensen and Dangel with 17 each.

Offensively, Jensen and Lewer shared team-high honors with 13 kills.  Boswell had a team-high 24 assists.  Freshmen Claire Raycraft (Decatur, Ill./St. Teresa) and Anna Weber (Schererville/Lake Central) led the front row defense with three blocks each.

Rose-Hulman returns to Greencastle to square off against DePauw on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
