TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Individuals from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the Indiana University Billy Hayes Invitational on Saturday.
The meet performance list includes 14 total entries. Senior Andy Hunkeler (Kokomo, Ind./Northwestern) will compete in three field events to lead the Engineers, with appearances in the discus, hammer throw and shot put.
Freshman Andrew Okruch (Mount Washington, Ky./Bullitt East) will compete in the discus and shot put, and junior Austin Schulthies (Dubois, Ind./Northeast Dubois) adds appearances in the discus and javelin.
Sophomore Addie Johnson (Grand Rapids, Mich./Catholic Central) and senior Ryann-Rebecca Montgomery (Lafayette, La./Episcopal School of Acadiana) will lead the women's effort. Both are nationally ranked in their respective events, with Johnson competing in the 400 hurdles and Montgomery in the 3,000-meter run.
Other men's competitors include senior Nathan Catt (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) in the men's 1,500 meters; junior Zac Erba (Warsaw, Ind./Winona Lake) in the hammer throw; freshman Brendon Mattiuz (Fishers, Ind.) in the 800-meters; junior Blake Schulthies (Dubois, Ind./Northeast Dubois) in the 400-meter hurdles; and junior Stuart West (La Porte) in the 1,500-meters.
Rose-Hulman enters the week ranked No. 17 in this week's NCAA Division III Men's Track and Field Dual Meet Rankings and holds the No. 4 spot in the Great Lakes Region.
