TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Individuals from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology track and field team will hit the road for the Billy Hayes Invitational at Indiana University on Friday afternoon.
Senior Sutton Coleman (Lebanon, Va.) and junior Liz Evans (Bicknell, Ind./North Knox) lead the Engineer competitors. Both NCAA Division III national qualifiers will compete against primarily Division I competition. Coleman will compete in the 200-meter dash and 110-high hurdles, while Evans competes in the high jump.
Junior Collin Crowson (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) looks to improve his chances of qualifying for the NCAA Division III Nationals in the pole vault. He recorded a leap of 16' 0" to win the HCAC championships last weekend.
Other Rose-Hulman competitors will include junior Trey Cahill (Auburn, Ind./DeKalb) in the hammer throw; junior Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) in the 400-meter dash; junior Greg Larmore (Deerfield, Ill.) in the discus and hammer throws; senior P.J. Schulthies (Dubois/Northeast Dubois) in the discus and hammer throws; and junior Travis Stallings (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles.
Individuals from the Engineers will return to action on May 11 at Louisville.
