TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Senior Liz Evans (Bicknell/North Knox) opened the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology track and field weekend with a strong performance at the Indiana University Invitational on Friday night.
Evans cleared 5' 7 3/4" in the high jump on her first attempt to capture second place in a field of 13 NCAA Division I high jumpers. She placed ahead of both high jumpers from Indiana University and competitors from Ball State, Cincinnati, Marshall and Ohio University.
After Saturday's meet at DePauw, Rose-Hulman returns to action at the HCAC Championships at Defiance on Feb. 16.
