TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seniors Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) and Liz Evans (Bicknell/North Knox) earned Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors in results released by the league office.
Clauser was named the HCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while Evans claimed the Women's Field Athlete of the Week award.
Clauser earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after a school record performance at the Engineer Invitational on Saturday. Her time of 59.80 seconds marked a school record in the 400-meter dash and helped Clauser top a field of runners from nine schools. The time was also the first sub-one minute indoor women's 400-meter time in Rose-Hulman history.
Evans recorded the best high jump in NCAA Division III so far this season with a leap of 5' 10". The mark is the second best height of her career that features four NCAA Division III national championships and six All-American awards. Evans also ranks in the top 20 in NCAA Division I, II and III women's track and field with the mark.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at Ohio Northern University on Saturday.
