TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology swept the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Track
Athlete of the Week awards, in results released today by the league
Junior Sutton Coleman (Lebanon, Va.) was named
the Men's Track Athlete of the Week, with sophomore Gloria
Boxell (Zionsville/ Covenant Christian) captured Women's
Track Athlete of the Week accolades.
Coleman won the 110-meter high hurdles at the Hanover
Invitational with an NCAA Division III provisional national
qualification time of 14.77 seconds. His time currently ranks
No. 2 nationally in NCAA Division III this spring.
Later in the meet, Coleman helped the 4-x-400 meter
relay team capture top honors to secure Rose-Hulman's team victory
for the meet. The squad ran the nation's ninth-best time this
season with a mark of 3:22.05.
Boxell rewrote Rose-Hulman's school record in the 100-meter high
hurdles to earn the HCAC honor. Her new school record time of
16.68 seconds topped the previous mark of 16.98 seconds by Katy
Evert in 2005.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the DePauw University
Invitational on Saturday.
