TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded four top-five and 11 top 10 finishes at the Billy Hayes Invitational at Indiana University on Friday night.
The meet featured NCAA Division I, II and III institutions, highlighted by Indiana University and Indiana State University.
Senior Liz Evans (Bicknell/North Knox) led the performance with a second-place finish in the high jump and a mark of 5' 7 1/4".
Senior Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) (pictured) added a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 58.13 seconds.
Other top-five finishers included junior Ryann-Rebecca Montgomery (Lafayette, La./Episcopal School of Acadia) with a fourth in the 1,500-meter run (4:59.39) and senior Tyler Hannan (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) with a fifth in the 400-meters (48.67).
Rose-Hulman top 10 finishers also included senior Andrew Daw (Klamath Falls, Ore./Mazama) with a sixth in the javelin (165' 1"); senior Collin Crowson (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) with a sixth in the pole vault (15' 5"); senior Trey Cahill (Auburn/DeKalb) with a seventh in the hammer (183' 3"); and senior Greg Larmore (Deerfield, Ill.) in eighth in the discus (140' 11").
Rounding out the top ten efforts were sophomore Ryan Meyer (Greenwood/Center Grove) with a ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:22.84); Hannan in 10th in the 200-meters (22.44); and junior Andy Hunkeler (Kokomo/Northwestern) in 10th in the shot put (47' 10").
Individuals from the Fightin' Engineers will return to action at the Louisville Cardinal Classic next Friday night.
