STEVENS POINT, WIS. -- Rose-Hulman Institute
of Technology recorded two first place honors with strong
performances in the final tune up for next weekend's NCAA Division
III Track and Field Indoor National Championships.
Senior Sutton Coleman (Lebanon, Va.) recorded a
school record 60-meter hurdles time of 8.07 seconds to rank No. 2
nationally this season and win the event.
Junior Liz Evans (Bicknell/North Knox) set a
new Wisconsin-Stevens Point fieldhouse record, topping a 20-year
old mark, with her third leap of 5' 10" during the 2012 indoor
season. Evans also captured first place honors.
Senior Jeremiah Edwards (Indianapolis/Lawrence
North) added a time of 7.08 seconds in 60-meter dash
Junior Collin Crowson (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome)
started the weekend with a fourth-place pole vault effort at Mount
Union with a leap of 15' 0".
Coleman and Evans have qualified for the NCAA Division III
Indoor Nationals, and Crowson hopes to join them when the field is
released early next week. The Indoor Nationals are set for
Friday and Saturday at Grinnell College in Iowa.
