Rose-Hulman Defeats Manchester, Faces Franklin Sunday

Cook-ac1TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's tennis team Manchester College 6-3 on Saturday.

The Fightin' Engineers will secure the No. 1 seed to the October 15-16 league tournament with a victory at Franklin on Sunday.  Rose-Hulman is the defending HCAC women's tennis champion and NCAA Tournament representative.

Sophomore Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis.) led the Engineers with a No. 1 Singles and a No. 2 doubles victory. 

Sophomore Paige Cook (Terre Haute, Ind./North Vigo) also picked up a No. 2 doubles victory along with a victory in the No. 5 singles spot. 

Rose-Hulman is now 9-2 overall and 7-1 in HCAC play, while Manchester falls to 6-7 and 5-3 in league matches.
