FRANKLIN,
IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 6-1 on the
season with its first ever women's tennis victory over NAIA foe
IU-Southeast on Sunday at Franklin College.
Junior Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis./Senior), junior Paige Cook (Terre Haute/North), sophomore Kylie McCollum (Lee's Summitt, Mo./West) and junior Lauren Reberger (Brazil/Northview) earned singles victories to help pace the effort.
Rose-Hulman also won at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions. The No. 1 team included Stettler and senior Melissa Montgomery (Alexandria/Monroe), with McCollum and Koharuko Fujita (Ishikawa, Japan/Izumigaoka) winning at the No. 3 doubles spot.
Rose-Hulman stands 6-1 on the season and returns to action at Transylvania University on Saturday.
