HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman improved to 3-1 on the women's tennis
season with wins of 9-0 over Oakland City and 6-3 over IU-East on
Sunday.
Junior Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis./Senior), sophomore Suzana Mohd (Puchong, Malaysia), senior Melissa Montgomery (Alexandria/Monroe), junior Paige Cook (Terre Haute/North), freshman Lauren Miller (Highland, Ill.) and sophomore Kylie McCollum (Lee's Summitt, Mo./West) swept the six singles matches to lead the effort against Oakland City.
In doubles play, the tandem of Stettler and Montgomery won at the No. 1 position with Cook and Mohd winning at No. 2. The team of sophomore Koharuko Fujita (Ishikawa, Japan/Izumigaoka) and junior Lauren Reberger (Brazil/Northview) rounded out the victories with a win at No. 3 doubles.
In the IU-East match, Stettler, Cook and McCollum contributed singles wins to the effort. The doubles team of Fujita and Reberger also claimed a No. 2 doubles victory.
Rose-Hulman improved to 2-1 overall and returns to action with a Wednesday conference home match against Anderson.
