HAUTE, IND. -- Franklin College improved to 8-1 and 5-0 in
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis play with a
7-2 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Sunday.
Rose-Hulman stands 8-2 on the season and 5-1 in conference play after just its second loss in regular season league play in the last three years.
Junior Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis./Senior) earned a victory at the No. 1 singles position for Rose-Hulman. The doubles team of junior Paige Cook and sophomore Koharuko Fujita (Ishikawa, Japan/Izumigaoka) also won at the No. 2 doubles spot.
The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Saturday with a home match against Manchester.
