OAKLAND CITY, IND. --
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology defeated Thomas More and
Oakland City to claim the 100th victory for the women's tennis
program.Rose-Hulman defeated Thomas More 8-1
in the opener, then topped Oakland City 6-3 for the
historic 100th win.
The Engineers were led by sophomore
Marie Stettler (Edgerton, Wis./Edgerton
Senior) and junior Melissa Montgomery
(Alexandria, Ind./Monroe), who both won three
matches on the day.
Stettler swept both No. 1 singles matches and teamed with Montgomery to gain a victory at the No. 1 doubles spot. Montgomery claimed two victory in the No. 3 singles position.
Rose-Hulman is now 2-0 on the season and returns to action Sunday as they travel to Kentucky Wesleyan.
