Men's Tennis Moves to 6-6 with Win at Defiance

paras2TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won for the fifth time in six matches to improve to 6-6 on the season in a 9-0 victory at Defiance College on Sunday.

Singles winners for the Engineers included senior Ben Paras (Tucson, Ariz./Nordhoff) at the No. 1 position; senior Devon Fritz (Lakeside, Calif./West Hills) at No. 2; and senior Nathan Moore (Scottsdale, Ariz.) at No. 3.

Other winners included freshman Matthew Conrad (Anderson/Lapel) at No. 4 spot; senior Eric Teeman (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) at No. 5; and sophomore Ray Montgomery (Terre Haute/South Vigo) at No. 6.

On the doubles side, the team of Paras and Fritz joined the duo of Moore and Conrad as winners at the top two spots.  The team of senior Randy Billingsley (Moline, Ill./Alleman) and freshman Erin Miller (Stamping Ground, Ky./Scott County) won at the No. 3 spot.

Rose-Hulman stands 6-6 overall and 2-2 in league play entering next Saturday's matchup at Anderson.
