TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology picked up clinched a spot in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament with an 8-1 win over Manchester on Friday night.

Junior Ben Paras (Tucson, Ariz./Nordhoff) and junior Devon Fritz (Lakeside, Calif./West Hills) earned victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, then teamed up for a No. 1 doubles win.

Junior Ian Stevenson (Stow, Mass./Nashoba) and senior Stephan Lemmer (Haymarket, Va./Stonewall) won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, and also teamed up for a No. 2 doubles victory.

Sophomore Nathan Moore (Scottsdale, Ariz./Home Schooled) and teamed  senior Randy Billingsley (Moline, Ill./Alleman) added a No. 3 doubles win.

Freshman Ray Montgomery (Terre Haute/South) completed the performance with a win at No. 6 singles.

Rose-Hulman stands 8-6 overall and 5-3 in league play.  The Fightin' Engineers also secured their 15th consecutive season with a record of .500 or above with the victory.
