BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology picked up its first win of the men's tennis season with a 9-0 shutout over Bluffton University on Monday.
Junior Ben Paras (Tucson, Ariz./Nordhoff) and junior Devon Fritz (Lakeside, Calif./West Hills) earned victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, then teamed up for a No. 1 doubles win.
Junior Ian Stevenson (Stow, Mass./Nashoba) and senior Stephan Lemmer (Haymarket, Va./Stonewall) won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, and also teamed up for a No. 2 doubles victory.
Freshman Ray Montgomery (Terre Haute/South) completed the double winners with victories at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Sophomore Nathan Moore (Scottsdale, Ariz./Home Schooled) won at No. 3 singles, and senior Randy Billingsley (Moline, Ill./Alleman) teamed with Montgomery for a No. 3 doubles win.
Rose-Hulman stands 1-4 and 1-2 in league play, and returns to action at IU-East on Tuesday.
