INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology improved to 3-0 on the men's
tennis season with a 7-1 victory over Trine University on Saturday
afternoon.
Singles winners for Rose-Hulman included sophomore Ben Paras (Tucson, Ariz./Nordhoff) at No. 1; senior David Becerra (Brownsburg) (pictured) at No. 2; and senior Alex Gumz (Palatine, Ill.) at No. 3.
Other singles winners included sophomore Devon Fritz (Lakeside, Calif./West Hills) at No. 4, senior Seth Hendrickson (Crawfordsville) at No. 5 and senior Brent Frizzell (Avon) at No. 6.
Becerra and Hendrickson teamed up for a victory at No. 2 doubles, with Fritz and Gumz adding a win at the No. 3 doubles slot.
Rose-Hulman stands 3-0 on the season, while Trine is 0-1 overall. The Engineers return to action on March 12 with matches against Franklin College and NCAA Division II Ferris State.
