GREENCASTLE, IND. --
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology narrowly fell in a 5-4
decision against Indiana Tech, before nationally ranked DePauw
topped the Engineers in men's tennis action on Sunday.
Senior Alex Gumz (Palatine, Ill.) (pictured) led the Engineers with victories at No. 3 singles and No. 3 doubles. Gumz won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and teamed with sophomore Devon Fritz (Lakeside, Calif./West Hills) for an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
Other singles winners for Rose-Hulman included senior David Becerra (Brownsburg) by a 6-4, 7-5 margin at the No. 2 position; and senior Seth Hendrickson (Crawfordsville) by a 6-4, 6-4 margin at No. 5 singles.
The Engineers stand 4-3 overall and return to action with a trip to in-state foe Wabash College on Wednesday night.
