TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology junior John Huster (Terre Haute/North
Vigo) was named the College Conference of Illinois Men's
Swimmer of the Week for his efforts against Franklin College last
weekend.
Huster helped Rose-Hulman win the dual meet by claiming victories in the 50-yard freestyle (22.23 seconds) and the 100-butterfly (53.05).
The mechanical engineering major won the 100-butterfly at the 2011 CCIW Championships and was an NCAA Division III provisional national qualifier in the event last season. He holds the individual school record in the 100-backstroke and is part of two medley relay school records.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Washington University Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
