MEET RESULTS
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology captured three first-place honors to highlight a meet featuring NCAA Division I IUPUI and Butler on Saturday in Indianapolis.
The Engineers were led by sophomore Andrew Podgorski (Goshen, Ind.) with two first place finishes. He won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.61 and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.13.
Junior Matt Ross (West Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) finished first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time 53.11.
Rose-Hulman also featured three second-place finishes in the meet.
The 200 yard medley relay team of freshman Robert Larson (Edina, Minn.), sophomore Logan Ryan (Kent, Wash./Kentwood Senior), sophomore Theo Famprikis (Thessaloniki, Greece/Anatolia College) and sophomore Ryan Sagul (Gainesville, Fla.) finished with a second place time of 1:48.58.
The 200 yard freestyle relay, consisting of freshman Eric Yuhas (Fremont, Ohio/Ross), junior Ross Meininger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), sophomore Stephen Wuest (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) and Famprikis finished in second in 1:32.14. Wuest also placed second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.38.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Diving Championships on Saturday. The CCIW Swimming Championships are scheduled for Feb. 16-18.
