BLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology junior Nicole Richardson (Janesville,
Wis./George Parker) recorded two top-five finishes to lead
the effort at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin
Diving Invitational on Saturday.
Richardson placed second in three-meter diving with 326.05 points. She added a fifth place in one-meter diving with 259.35 points.
Richardson will earn all-conference honors in three-meter diving for her second-place effort. The performance marks her third all-conference accolade as a Fightin' Engineer.
Freshman Megan Weinzapfel (Evansville/Signature School) contributed a ninth-place in one-meter diving to the women's team score with 238.15 points.
Junior Andy Welsh (Batesville/Oldenburg Academy) rounded out the performance with a sixth place in one-meter diving with 214.60 points.
The swimming portion of the Rose-Hulman team will compete at the CCIW Championships on Feb. 16-18 at Carthage College in Wisconsin. Today's scores will be factored into the team scoring at next week's meet.
