TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Allison Bowman (Fort Wayne/Snider) earned second-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors to lead the Fightin' Engineer postseason awards in softball.
Bowman batted .280 this season with 30 hits, three doubles and one home run, while compiling a .987 fielding percentage behind the plate. Bowman also threw out 16 runners attempting to steal this season.
Sophomore Carly Heibel (Fort Wayne/Lakewood Park) claimed honorable mention all-conference honors for her efforts in multiple roles.
Heibel batted .381 with six doubles and four home runs to become Rose-Hulman's career home run leader with nine. She also finished 3-6 in the pitching circle with a 3.24 earned run average and 28 strikeouts in 62.2 innings of work.
Senior Alyse Mueller (Belleville, Ill./West) was honored with a spot on the league's all-sportsmanship team. Mueller hit two home runs this season and also tossed seven complete games with a 3.71 earned run average as a pitcher.
Rose-Hulman finished 12-24 overall and 4-12 in HCAC play this season. The Fightin' Engineer season will begin next March in Florida.
