GAME ONE BOX; GAME TWO BOX

tag-3rd-auTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Anderson University topped Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Tuesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action.  

Anderson used a six-run sixth inning to blow open a 5-4 game.  Rose-Hulman added two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 11-6.  The Ravens  then knocked in two more runs in the seventh for the 13-6 final.

The Engineers were led by sophomore Allison Bowman (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider) with three hits and three runs batted in.  Freshman Jessica Ahlborn (Houghton, Ind.) and Carly Heibel (Fort Wayne, Ind./Lakewood Park) each added two hits and two runs.   

Anderson then defeated the Engineers 12-0 in the nightcap, fueled by a six run first inning. 

Rose-Hulman falls to 8-16 and 2-4 in conference games while Anderson improves to 15-4 overall and 6-0 in HCAC play,.  The Engineers return to action as they hit the road to face local rival St. Mary-of-the-Woods Thursday night and face conference foe Mount. St. Joseph Saturday.
