Faber1TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Grace College snapped a 2-2 tie with a run in its final at bat to complete a softball doubleheader sweep at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Friday.

The Lancers captured game one by an 8-1 count, then won 3-2 in the nightcap.

In the nightcap, Rose-Hulman rallied from a 2-0 deficit with two runs in the fourth inning to knot the score at 2-2.  Freshman Allison Bowman (Fort Wayne/Snider) opened the scoring with a solo home run, then senior Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./St. John's Country Day) knotted the score by stealing home with two outs.

Freshman Jenna Martinek (Troy, Mo./Buchanan) and sophomore Brianne Widmoyer (Elkhart/Central) paced the Rose-Hulman offense with two hits each.  Sophomore Alyse Mueller (Belleville, Ill./West) tossed the complete game in the pitching circle and allowed just one earned run with five strikeouts.
