TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology scored three first half goals to shutout Anderson University 4-0 in women's soccer action on Tuesday night.

Freshman Katie DeMoss (Martinsville/Roncalli) led the offensive effort with two goals.  Sophomore Haley O'Neil (Batavia, Ill.) and sophomore Nicky Wheeler (Avon) each added one goal and one assist.

Freshman Hayley Gilliam (Zionsville) also dented the scoresheet with two assists.  The offensive effort helped goalkeepers Lucinda Combs (Danville, Ky./Boyle County) and Chris Rollins (Springfield, Ohio) combine for the shutout.

DeMoss opened the scoring in the 10th minute on a pass from Wheeler.  O'Neil made the score 2-0 in the 33rd minute, courtesy of a pass by Gilliam.

DeMoss helped the halftime score reach 3-0 with a 42nd minute goal on another Gilliam assist.  Wheeler rounded out the scoring in the 70th minute on a pass from O'Neil.

Rose-Hulman outshot Anderson 32-2 in the contest, with O'Neil firing a match high seven shots.  Danielle Gilles made 12 saves for the Ravens.

Rose-Hulman improved to 6-4-2 overall and 1-0-1 in HCAC play.  The Fightin' Engineers travel to Defiance on Saturday.
