FRANKLIN, IND. -- Wilmington College scored in the
final minute to earn a narrow 1-0 victory over Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology in women's soccer action on Sunday.
The two teams battled through a steady rain before Sarah Watters scored at 89:24 on a pass from Jenni Marck to lift the Quakers to their second win of the weekend.
Wilmington outshot Rose-Hulman 18-3 in the contest. Freshman Lucinda Combs (Danville, Ky./Boyle County) led the Fightin' Engineer defensive effort with six saves.
Wilmington improved to 2-0 on the season, while Rose-Hulman stands 1-1. The Fightin' Engineers travel to Greenville on Wednesday.
