ANDERSON, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology scored three times in the second half to capture a 4-1 women's soccer victory at Anderson University on Wednesday night.

Sophomore Rachel Johnstone (Loveland, Ohio) played a hand in three of Rose-Hulman's four goals to lead the attack.

Senior Anna Vogel (East Greenwich, R.I./LaSalle Academy) scored in the 10th minute on a pass from Johnstone to make the score 1-0.  Anderson knotted the score at halftime on a goal by Sarah Guffey.

In the second half, Rose-Hulman scored three times in seven minutes to secure the victory.

Johnstone scored in the 60th minute on a pass from freshman Haley O'Neil (Batavia, Ill.).  Junior Amy Schleter (Knoxville, Tenn./Karns) added a score three minutes later on a pass from freshman Mackenzie Christensen (New Glarus, Wis.). 

Junior Ally Nelson (Mooresville) rounded out the scoring four minutes later with a goal after a pass from Johnstone.

Rose-Hulman outshot Anderson 26-6 in the match and held a 12-2 edge in corner kicks.  Graduate student Annmarie Stanley (Warrenville, Ill./Rosary) led the offense with five shots.  Freshman Nicky Wheeler (Avon) and sophomore Amanda Kingman (Plano, Texas/Senior) added four shots each.

Senior Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) and freshman Christine Rollins (Springfield, Ohio) combined for the win at goalkeeper with three saves in net.

Rose-Hulman improved to 5-10 overall and captured its first HCAC victory, while Anderson dropped to 3-11.
