Women's Soccer Narrowly Falls to Manchester

TERRE HAUTE, IND.-- One goal proved to be enough as Manchester College held off a women's soccer charge by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman was led by freshman Haley O'Neil (Batavia, Ill.) with four shots.

Senior goalkeeper Julie Brennan (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) recorded seven saves on the day as she faced 13 shots.

Rose-Hulman had a total of 16 shots on the day, including one off the crossbar and several near-misses. Manchester goalie Emily Willmann recorded 10 saves for the Spartans.

The Engineers are now 4-10 on the season, while Manchester improved to 5-8-1 overall and 3-2 in conference.  Rose-Hulman returns to action Wednesday at conference foe Anderson.
