Women's Soccer Falls at #11 IWU

BrennanBLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- No. 11 ranked Illinois Wesleyan lived up to its NCAA Division III women's soccer national ranking with a 7-1 victory over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Wednesday night.

The Titans scored twice in the first half against a steady Rose-Hulman defensive effort, then pulled away in the second half.

Freshman Becca Evans (Tinley Park, Ill./Victor Andrew) led Rose-Hulman's effort with her third goal of the season. 

Defensively, senior Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) recorded eight saves in net.

Illinois Wesleyan improved to 6-1 overall, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 3-4.  The Fightin' Engineers host Transylvania University in the league opener on Saturday.
