TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Franklin College scored the lone goal of the match in the 63rd minute to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 1-0 in women's soccer action on Wednesday night.

Alicia LaBonne scored her fourth goal of hte season on a pass from Vanessa Benham to give the Grizzlies the lone score of the night.

Rose-Hulman outshot Franklin 12-10 in the evenly contested match.  Senior Anna Vogel (East Greenwich, R.I./LaSalle Academy) led the Engineer offense with three shots, including hitting a post in the first half.

Sophomore Sarah Kemme (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) and sophomore Amanda Kingman (Plano, Texas/Senior) fired two shots each for Rose-Hulman.  Senior Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) recorded four saves in net to keep the Engineers within striking distance.

Franklin improved to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in league play, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 4-9 and 0-4 in conference matches.  The Engineers return to action against Manchester at home on Saturday.
