GREENCASTLE, IND. -- DePauw University relied on an opportunistic offensive attack to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 4-0 in women's soccer action on Tuesday night.
DePauw outshot Rose-Hulman 18-9 in the contest. Senior Anna Vogel (East Greenwich, R.I./LaSalle Academy), junior Ally Nelson (Mooresville) and freshman Nicky Wheeler (Avon) had two shots each to lead the Engineer offense.
Senior Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) recorded seven saves in net for Rose-Hulman.
Alex Ehr and Kelly Reeves scored goals in the first half for DePauw. Ehr joined Christy Fillenwarth with scores in the second half.
Rose-Hulman stands 1-1 on the season, while DePauw improved to 1-2. The Fightin' Engineers return to action on Thursday night at Principia.
