BrennanBOX SCORE

BLUFFTON, OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/Pike) tied a 12-year school record to highlight a 1-1 women's soccer draw at Bluffton University on Sunday.

Brennan recorded 18 saves to tie the single-match school record originally set by Heidi Brackmann in 1999.  She also holds the career school record for saves and ranks second in school history in goalkeeping victories.

Rose-Hulman jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a score by freshman Nicky Wheeler (Avon) just two minutes into the match.  Amanda Hunsberger tied the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 78th minute, then the teams battled to a scoreless draw for the last 32 minutes of action.

Bluffton outshot the Engineers 28-21 in the match.  Wheeler led the Rose-Hulman offense with six shots.  Freshman Mackenzie Christensen (New Glarus, Wis.), senior Carolyn Guzik (Avon, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) and senior Anna Vogel (East Greenwich, R.I./LaSalle Academy) had three shots each for the Engineers.

Rose-Hulman stands 5-10-1 overall and 1-5-1 in league play, while Bluffton has a 9-3-2 mark and is 4-2-1 in conference games.
