TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Clint Vatterrodt (Bloomington, Ill./University) scored three times to lead the men's soccer team past Manchester 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Vatterrodt scored his 13th and 14th goals of the season to give Rose-Hulman a 2-0 lead at the half.

Sophomore Drew Belk (Jasper) put the Engineers ahead 3-0 in the second half with his first score of the season.  Vatterrodt finished the scoring with his 15th goal of the year at the 58:19 mark, on an assist from sophomore Ben Green (Frisco, Texas/Centennial).

Rose-Hulman outshot Manchester 13-7 in the match, with Vatterrodt firing four shots and Green adding two.  Freshman Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) helped Rose-Hulman record its fourth straight shutout with three saves in net.

The Fightin' Engineer defense has not allowed a goal in 407 minutes, dating back to a 3-1 win over Mount St. Joseph.

Rose-Hulman improved to 10-5 overall and 4-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Manchester dropped to 3-10-1 and 1-4 in league play.  The Fightin' Engineers hit the road for Anderson on Tuesday.
