TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Drew Belk (Jasper) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for his efforts in two matches last week.
Belk recorded his first career hat trick with a three-goal performance in Rose-Hulman's 5-0 victory over Mount St. Joseph. He also scored the tying goal late in the second half as Rose-Hulman and Transylvania battled to a 2-2 draw.
Belk leads the Engineers and ranks second in the HCAC with 10 goals and 21 points this season. The electrical engineering major has scored 13 goals in his career as a Fightin' Engineer.
Rose-Hulman stands 8-0-3 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play heading into Wednesday's matchup at Franklin College. The Fightin' Engineers will also travel to Hanover on Saturday this week.
