Second Half Spurt Leads Elmhurst Past Rose-Hulman


Carlson1WHEATON, ILL. -- Elmhurst College scored three times in the second half to break open a tightly contested matchup and earn a 4-1 men's soccer win over Rose-Hulman on Saturday.

Sophomore Adam Carlson (Brownsburg) scored his first career goal on a penalty kick at 76:00 to lead the Rose-Hulman effort.

Carlson fired four shots to lead the Engineer offense.  Senior Eric Myers (Indianapolis/Mount Vernon) added two shots for Rose-Hulman.

Matt Sterner scored twice for Elmhurst, with David Madison and Luke Froehlich also scoring for the Bluejays.

Rose-Hulman stands 0-3 on the season against one of the toughest early schedules in the nation.  The Fightin' Engineers host Wabash College on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
