Second Half Goals Lead Anderson Past Rose-Hulman


Englert1TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Anderson University relied on a pair of second half goals to top Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 2-0 in men's soccer action on Tuesday night.

Austin Fridley scored in the 54th minute, before Reid Martin tallied an insurance goal in the 84th minute for the Ravens.  Austin Howard had six saves in goal in the shutout.

Rose-Hulman outshot Anderson 17-14 in the tightly contested matchup.  Junior Tim Hollingshead (St. Peters, Mo./Lutheran) led the balanced attack with three shots.  Senior Paul Bouagnon (St. Charles, Ill./Burlington Central) had two shots on goal.

Anderson improved to 7-4-5 overall and 4-0-2 in conference play, while Rose-Hulman dropped to 5-7-4 and 2-2-2 in league matchups.  The Engineers host Bluffton University on Saturday at Jim Rendel Field.
