Rose-Hulman, Wilmington Soccer Battle to Scoreless Draw

Green1WILMINGTON, OHIO -- The men's soccer teams from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Wilmington College battled to a scoreless draw on Friday night.

Senior Paul Bouagnon (St. Charles, Ill./Burlington Central) nearly won the contest in the second half by hitting the post with a shot attempt.

Wilmington outshot Rose-Hulman 17-9 in the contest, with junior Eric Davenport (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) recording his second shutout of the season.  Davenport has a 0.31 goals against average and has only allowed a penalty kick score this fall.

Junior Mitch Buffington (O'Fallon, Ill.) led the Rose-Hulman offense with three shots.  Senior Corbin Clow (Martinsville) joined Bouagnon with two shots.

Rose-Hulman stands 1-3-1 on the year, while Wilmington now has a mark of 2-1-1.  The Fightin' Engineers will square off with Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon in the final game of the Wilmington Kiwanis Classic.
