TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior Drew Belk (Jasper) scored both goals as the Fightin' Engineers topped Fontbonne 2-1 in men's soccer action on Wednesday night.
Belk scored in the 25th minute to give Rose-Hulman a 1-0 lead, on an assist from junior John Munson (Bloomington, Ill./University). Fontbonne later tied the score at 1-1 on a penalty kick by Josh Schulz in the 56th minute.
Belk provided the game winning goal in the 76th minute on a blast courtesy of a pass from junior Ryan Rieboldt (Grafton, Wis).
Sophomore Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) picked up the win in goal with three saves. The Fightin' Engineers outshot Fontbonne 13-10, with Belk's four shots leading the way.
Rose-Hulman improved to 3-3-2, while Fontbonne dropped to 4-2-1. The Fightin' Engineers host Principia in the annual Homecoming match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
