green-mcTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on two goals in a four-minute span of the first half to earn a 3-0 men's soccer victory over Millikin University on Saturday at Jim Rendel Field.

Senior B.J. Thompson (Princeton) opened the scoring with an unassisted tally in the 20th minute.

Four minutes later, Rose-Hulman earned a penalty kick on a foul in the box.  Freshman Marco Cattani (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) booted home his first college goal on the penalty kick to make the score 2-0 at the half.

In the 84th minute, Rose-Hulman added an insurance goal to secure the victory.  Junior William Senat (Edmond, Okla./North) had one shot blocked, then fired home the rebound for the score.  Sophomore Daniel Koester (Seymour) made the pass in the box and was credited with the assist.

Junior Alec Houpt (Chesterton) picked up the goalkeeping victory with his first college shutout in a 90-minute performance.
