FRANKLIN, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior William Senat (Edmond, Okla./North) scored both goals to help the Fightin' Engineer men's soccer team top Franklin College 2-0 on Wednesday night.
Senat buried his seventh goal of the season in the second minute of the game, then added his eighth score of the year near the 60th minute.
Sophomore Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) picked up his fifth shutout and the team's seventh shutout of the season with two saves.
Rose-Hulman controlled much of the match with a 19-4 edge in shots. Senat led the offense with eight shots. Junior Drew Belk (Jasper) joined sophomore Andrew Bartush (Granger/Penn) with three shots each.
Rose-Hulman improved to 9-4-3 overall and 5-0-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play, while Franklin dropped to 5-7-2 and 3-2-1 in league matches. The Fightin' Engineers remain tied with Transylvania for first place in the HCAC standings and travel to Hanover on Saturday.
